The Glimmar’s Steampunk Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.7.4, uses a unique theme in which, inspires the artist to develop an original piece of work. This texturepack is based around a single theme; steampunk. By changing the default textures, and making them more detailed, rustic, and more unique, users of this texturepack, and also players of minecraft can experience minecraft to a whole new level and explore the new edited textures that this texturepack introduces.
Steampunk is a unique theme, based around a more modern, yet rustic lifestyle. By using electricity based machinery, however building it into almost old fashioned vehicles, structures and even possibly robotics. When this interesting theme is implemented into minecraft, it makes gameplay far more interesting to look at. Blocks are easier to admire and exploring has been made much more interesting.

Glimmar’s Steampunk Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.7.4 Main Features

This texturepack has not only changed the textures of; blocks, items, food, and terrain, but it has also changed even the monsters and animals. Not to mention the villagers too. It would take a huge amount of imagination and creativity to design a steampunk based monster yet still keep the same originality of minecraft mobs. Instead of changing the look of the mobs completely; the artist of this texturepack has simply kept the textures of the mobs etc., and then edited them to seem more mechanical. In a way, it also makes monsters, animals and villagers look far more mysterious, and even more hostile.

The artist of the Glimmar’s Steampunk texturepack, has taken minecraft textures to the next level. This could possibly be the next generation of minecraft texture pack themes. Everything inside this texturepack has been made to seem robotic, mechanical yet still keep the feel of minecraft. Of course wood and all the normal, natural building materials have only been changed to suit the theme. Only a few of these natural blocks and textures have been made to look mechanical or robotic. Natural substances such as dirt and grass still looks similar to the original, default texturepack minecraft already has; however, it has been changed in the slightest, just to make it fit in with everything else.

Glimmar’s Steampunk Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.7.4 Usage

When using this texturepack, like most high definition texture packs, it is recommended that you download a foreign program or mod such as mcpatcher or Optifine. These programs/mods (Optifine as a mod, MCPatcher as a program.), will “patch” your game; once the texturepack has been installed, and make everything work properly. If a foreign patcher has not been installed, the texturepack will in turn look ugly, or messed up. This is because minecraft cannot process such a high definition texturepack and it is required that you patch your game so that everything will work out with no problems.
However it may be that a program such as MCPatcher is not needed for this kind of texturepack. However, it is still recommended that you install the Optifine mod to decrease lag and FPS usage. If at any time that you feel in the need to install a high definition texturepack you will need to in the end, download a foreign patcher. However with the Optifine mod, it will automatically patch your texturepack and the trouble of continuously patching your game will be fixed.

I thought that all of you should know that the Jolicraft texture has come to Minecraft version 1.2.5!  Jolicraft is a very unique texture pack that looks really cool and makes everything look even better. The Jolicraft texture pack now is compatible with the Aether mod and all of the Aether gui elements. This also makes the creatures a lot more frightening with the Ghasts as a giant flying eye ball! This texture pack is certainly really well done and brightens the Minecraft universe entirely. Jolicraft makes Minecraft, (and Steve) look really amazing. Oh…. there are sooo many texture packs out there. After 1.2.5 update many things have been updated also. So minecraftdl must be updating them to ! Well, this texture pack is found when I was searching for some popular packs on planetminecraft. The name look s a bit funny so I tried to chech it out ! Coteriecraft, you may wonder what kind of name is that? If you would let me explain, this pack is kinda like Minecraft upgraded version. Or minecraft in the future.(not like robots blabla) Because, CoterieCraft looks like Minecraft with HD features. All the stones and glasses look more HD than the original one. I will have to use the word “enhanced” it. It is like enchanting Minecraft into an more advanced textures. If some of you say I prefer The original pack or default pack, you might want to try using this pack, see thing you might not want to miss.
Thanks to the developer (Cpt.Corn) for enchancing Minecraft’s texture! I really like Coteria Craft’s armor, it looks awesome! Also I agree with some people that says this texture pack is like a plain pack, because it is a plain AND enchanced pack
